Species: Beastman
Age: 500; appears 27
Height: 6
Occupation: Mech Pilot, single mother
Personality: Calm, level-headed, patient, distant at times, reflective, only opens up to people she knows
Advantages: Cunning, resourceful, confident in her own abilities, never gives up (can also be a disadvantage)
Disadvantages: One arm, one eye, heals slowly
Likes: Curry and rice, sushi, spending time with her daughter
Dislikes: Idiots and over-confident people, losing fights
Distinguishing Features: Scars, sword, ears and tail, symbol on clothes (the TriSpiral)
History: Orphaned at ten and, prompted by civil war, joined the military at sixteen. Enlisted into a Mech Squadron at eighteen where she graduated to Captain. After losing her love in the war, she volunteered as a test subject for an experiment that military scientists believed would create the perfect soldier. After two years of painful treatments, extensive surgeries, and endless genetic remapping, she was the sole survivor of the project and sparked the initiation of project "Beastman". Though the war ended soon after, the beastmen continued to grow in numbers until they rivaled the humans in population. With tensions on the rise, the influential voice of a young beastman named Vornage sparked an antihuman revolution and prompted Akira and others to overthrow their governments and force the remaining humans underground. Vornage was elected the new king and his first act was to appoint Akira as his second in command and the head of the new military, but her wrong-doings had begun to catch up with her. Stricken with remorse for her crimes, she had her memories erased, serving Vornage loyally and unquestioningly for another four centuries until a blow to the back of the head (during a human uprising) brought them all screaming back. She went insane for a short while after before defecting, rediscovered a decade later while assisting in a rebellion of humans. She has since been doing everything in her power to help the humans, determined to undo the crimes of her past.
Theme Song: Blood on My Hands by The Used
Quote: Forgive the man, for he hath slain the lion to feed his family; but damn his brother, for he hath slain his family to feed the lion.
Other Notes:
Her daughter, Anaya, is not actually related to her. She was a human child Akira rescued during a mission and, since she was dying, used a stolen Beastman Pod to turn her into a beastman and save her life.
Her Mech, affectionately named Saber, was the first Mech she ever used. Its been outfitted so she can still run it with one arm and only registers her as its pilot, at times displaying a limited form of artificial intelligence.
There was a flaw in the Beastman project: in exchange for the increased strength, speed, stamina, and reaction time, the earlier models healed much slower and were subject to horrible scarring.
Akira doesnt like people knowing she is missing an arm as it usually leads to them underestimating her. (Of course, the sleeve she uses to hide it doesnt help when the wind makes it flap around. lol)
